Percy let himself be moved about, this process not at all different from the day before with the breeding house outfitter. The only difference this time was that he was kept naked, and the tailor, Mister Crane, never spoke to him.
âElegant and simple,â Mister Crane intoned to one of his aides. âAnd resilient fabrics, as he is a breeder, and some few of them go into wet heat. Make a note for damp-resistant cloth.â
Percyâs face burned, the tailorâs callous words and the way he completely ignored him leaving him feeling humiliated.
The tailorâs staff buzzed about like bees, the tailor the stiff and remote hivemaster, and they worked in near silence. Crane would flick his fingers as garments and fabrics were presented, and Percy could never tell which he approved and which he did not.
He shivered, the air cool on his naked skin, and he felt alone for the first time since he was taken from Heritage Breeders. The royal tailor apparently knew who exactly Percy was, and made no effort to talk to him, aside from orders to remain still and not fidget.
Percy obeyed, and did his best not to get upset. Prince Edwardâs absence was a harsh reminder that even though he was treated nicely and he enjoyed his masterâs touch, Percy was nothing but another piece of property, with a particular duty. Anything beyond common affection from the blood prince was folly to pine for.
âHow are things progressing?â
Percy looked up at the wonderful voice, and gave the Prince a delighted smile before he could restrain himself. His master strode in with a thin laptop under his arm, and dragged an armchair over to the periphery of the tailorâs equipment. He gently put down the laptop and approached the platform.
âVery well, my prince. Your breeder is well suited for darker colors, blacks, grays and blues, some rich brown to compliment his hair and skin color,â the tailor replied, giving the prince a stiff and short bow as his master walked to where Percy stood naked.
âWonderful,â the prince said, and Percy all but purred as a large and warm hand stroked down his back, patting him on the curve of his rear before withdrawing. He felt a keen sense of loss but then the Prince gave him a quick wink and went to sit in the chair heâd appropriated, settling in to work it seemed, and watch. Percy breathed easier, internally cursing himself for needing his master nearby, but he wasnât going to complain that he came back.
âI have plans for the rest of the day, Crane, so please arrange something comfortable for him to wear once youâre done,â Prince Edward instructed, and the tailor gave the royal another short bow in acknowledgement.
Percy was able to ignore the people around him now, and he stared at his master, watching as the prince opened his laptop and started to work. Gazing at Prince Edward was no hardship; the man was handsome and kind, and he appealed to Percy, at a level past the sexual need his body held for the other man.
